Tips on Saving Propane and Natural Gas Costs - March 22, 2011

Hi all,

I found this great article on how to save propane gas costs: http://www.ehow.com/list_7687594_tips-saving-propane-gas.html

If your home is heated by propane, this is a must read for you and your family. Three quick tips we found in the article are:

1) Weatherize your home....Some of the biggest things you can do to weatherize include insulating your attic, walls and basement, installing weatherstripping on your doors, and installing storm windows.

2)Purchase energy-efficient appliances and home features. The federal government and many states offer tax incentives for installing more energy-efficient windows, heating systems and insulation....

3) Purchase a stove that does not have a pilot light, but instead works with an electric ignition. This saves you on propane, since it is not burning all the time.

And if you have an outdoor fire pit or fireplace, check out this video on how the Crossfire Burner can cut your propane use in half while getting double the flame.
