Like Good Ol' Down-Home Cookin'? Check out 'Chuckwagon Cowboy Cookin' - August 9, 2011

So as I was checking out our latest numbers for blogs and visitors, tweeters and retweeters, I came across a few retweets from a guy who recently has been checking out our blog, the "Chuckwagon Cowboy." Human nature made me curious as to who was retweeting our blogs and thought our content was interesting enough to retweet, and it turns out with was the Chuckwagon Cowboy.

His YouTube channel shows you how to make heaps of Chuckwagon Cowboy meals, from Maverick Mac'n'Cheese, to Chicken Breast Cowboy Style, to Southern Strawberry French Toast Casserole, to Panhandler's Pumpkin Pie. The Chuckwagon Cowby also provides tips for novice chefs and has fun doing it while not taking himself too seriously.

The campy "shot-in-his-home-kitchen" look and quality of the video had me a little wary at first, but after giving John Locke, aka the "Chuckwagon Cowboy" a chance to shine, the recipes all proved to be worthy of a mention, along with his western style apron adorned with a necktie and vest.... Ron mentions how his "mama" passed down a number of these recipes and then he modified them to take southern style cooking into his own hands and give it some spicy flare.

The impressive thing about our friend the Chuckwagon Cowboy, is that he has over 2,200 subscribers to his channel and over 40,000 total views on his YouTube channel. That's impressive! Yee-haw is right Ron! On top of that, Ron is in the process of publishing his first cookbook, so that is exciting as well. Ron, we got to hand it to ya, we like your style and appreciate your retweets. So keep those recipes coming and we'll be sure to support your cause.
