How to Build a 24 Volt Fire Pit - Step-By-Step Installation

It is that time of year when people are starting to renovate their backyards and start installing fire pits. We here at Warming Trends wanted to provide you with a step-by-step installation process so that you can enjoy the warmth of a fire pit on those cool spring evenings. Fire pits provide warmth and a nice center of attraction for your outdoor entertainment space. Family and friends will thank you later for installing a fire pit in your back yard.

Step 1

After hearth is built confirm sufficient drainage is in place to remove any water that could drain down from the pan through the drain tube. Either under the patio as shown or through the bottom of the hearth pedestal. Using minimum ½” drain port even with the patio.

Step 2

Level first concrete ring to allow for drainage. Then, mortar underneath base to secure. Then stack next two rings and mortar in gaps.

Step 3

Skim coat outside edge around concrete rings for faux stone and stucco applications or for real stone ro brick application, begin setting stone.

Step 4

Install electrical connection to local code and waterproof cover.

Step 5

Install transformer or remote receiver and waterproof cover, and 36" gas flex line.

Step 6

Set leveling blocks or stone to necessary height to support Crossfire System.

Step 7

Fire Pit is now ready for installation.

Step 8

Connect gas and electrical connections and check for gas leaks. Turn the system on to test that it is functioning correctly before placing it in the hearth.

Step 9

Once gas and electrical connections are tested, set system on support blocks.

Step 10

Place lava rock into pan to the top of the burner leaving the pilot assembly exposed.

Step 11

Randomly place logs as desired being careful to protect the exposed pilot ignitor not to touch any logs or lava rocks to exposed pilot ignitor.

Step 12

Spread out the remaining amount of the lava rock around the logs. Note: Lava rock will leave some dust around after removing it from the bag. This dust can be swept up off the hearth.

Step 13

Fire up Warming Trends Fire Pit.
